Arkaba
Arkaba is a private wildlife conservancy and Wild Bush Luxury lodge stretching across 60,000 acres of rugged outback in South Australia's Ikara–Flinders Ranges.
Once a working sheep station, Arkaba has been purposefully rewilded since 2009. It is a place of grand-scale, dramatically beautiful, ridges and creeklines connecting guests with Australia’s ancient outback landscapes.
This exclusive retreat welcomes just ten guests at a time accommodated in five beautifully restored homestead rooms. It is a fully hosted and guided experience. Your days at Arkaba are shaped by nature, with guided bushwalks through rugged landscapes, open-top safari drives, and sundowners overlooking the stunning Elder Range. Expert field guides bring the landscape to life, sharing stories of geology, wildlife, conservation and local Indigenous culture.
Meals are a shared affair and at night you're invited to enjoy the endless southern starry skies. Every stay supports vital conservation efforts, making your visit part of a larger story: regenerating and protecting the beauty of this ancient land.
