Art Gallery of New South Wales
The Art Gallery of New South Wales is a vibrant cultural landmark set within the lush surrounds of the Domain, offering sweeping views of Sydney Harbour. As one of the nation’s most treasured museums, it invites you to discover an extraordinary collection of Australian, Indigenous and international art.
In recent years, the Gallery expanded into a two-building campus linked by a beautiful public art garden. Honouring the site’s cultural and historical roots, the two buildings now carry names from Aboriginal languages: Naala Nura for the original sandstone building, and Naala Badu for the striking contemporary wing. You’ll find a range of experiences designed to enrich your visit.
The Australian Art Stories experience takes you on a 75-minute guided journey through the Art Gallery of New South Wales, beginning with exclusive early access to Naala Badu and Naala Nura. Along the way, expert educators share the cultural significance, histories and diverse voices that shape Australian art.
For a memorable evening, the Warakirri Dining Experience combines a curator-led tour of the Yiribana Gallery—home to a world-renowned collection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art—with a five-course degustation of native ingredients and paired beverages. Enhanced with live storytelling and performance, it can be tailored for groups of up to 250 guests.
