Borrgoron Coast to Creek Tours
Led by proud Bardi man Terry Hunter, Borrgoron Coast to Creek Tours welcome you to Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, nestled on Western Australia’s stunning Dampier Peninsula, about two hours north of Broome.
This special cultural experience gives you a rare chance to connect with the saltwater traditions, stories, and sustainable ways of the traditional custodians, the Bardi people.
Terry, a fourth-generation pearler, takes you through the tidal flats, mangroves, and creeks of King Sound. On the Coast to Creek Tour, you’ll forage for oysters, learn traditional hunting skills, and hear stories from life on this remote pearl farm. The Culture & History Tour offers a more personal storytelling time, while The Art of Carving Riji explores the ancient practice of shell carving and its deep meaning in Bardi culture.
Each tour is a personal and educational journey, filled with humour, history, and hands-on learning. Whether you’re exploring mangroves or resting under a shady tree listening to Dreaming stories, Coast to Creek Tours invites you to walk in the footsteps of one of Australia’s oldest living cultures.
