Koomal Dreaming
Founded and led by Wadandi custodian Josh “Koomal” Whiteland, Koomal Dreaming invites you to explore Noongar culture in Western Australia’s stunning Margaret River region.
Drawing on deep connections to the Wadandi and Bibbulmun traditions, part of the broader Noongar Nation, Josh shares stories, knowledge, and the spirit of Country passed down for nearly 50,000 years.
You’ll join Josh on a walk through the beautiful South West landscapes, where you’ll discover bush foods, traditional medicines, and fire-lighting techniques still used today. Try your hand at tool-making, listen to Dreaming stories, and learn about the native plants and animals that shape Noongar life and identity.
A true highlight is the Ngilgi Cave Cultural Tour, where you’ll descend into a breathtaking natural amphitheatre and listen to Josh deliver a mesmerizing didgeridoo performance, sharing Dreamtime legends in a setting that’s as spiritual as it is spectacular.
Koomal Dreaming offers you so much more than a tour. It takes you deep into a living culture, offering moments of reflection, understanding, and a lasting connection to the land and its people.
