Royal Adelaide Golf Club
Located in the coastal suburb of Seaton, just 20 minutes northwest of Adelaide’s city centre, Royal Adelaide Golf Club is one of South Australia’s most iconic and historic golf destinations.
Established in 1892 and granted its “Royal” status in 1923, the club has long been a proud part of Australia’s golfing tradition.
Set among natural sand dunes and native bushland, Royal Adelaide offers a rare inland links-style experience – a layout that’s both open and adventurous, with wide fairways, strategic bunkering, and the challenge of ever-changing coastal winds. The course was partly shaped by the legendary Dr Alister MacKenzie, whose influence shines most clearly in the brilliant short par-4 3rd hole – a true masterpiece of natural design.
Having hosted nine Australian Opens and countless national amateur championships, Royal Adelaide challenges champions while welcoming all who appreciate the artistry of the game. With its rich history, stunning natural beauty, and close connection to Adelaide’s vibrant food and wine scene, Royal Adelaide Golf Club offers a truly memorable Australian golf experience.
