Sand Dune Adventures
Sand Dune Adventures is an exciting Aboriginal-owned and operated tourism experience based in Williamtown, just outside Port Stephens in New South Wales.
Set on the spectacular Worimi Sand Dunes, the largest coastal sand mass in the Southern Hemisphere, this unique adventure invites you to explore Country in an unforgettable way.
This exhilarating experience gives you exclusive access to 4,200 hectares of Worimi Country, where you can ride quad bikes over towering dunes, try your hand at sandboarding, and take in sweeping views that feel more like the desert than the coast. While the adrenaline is undeniable, these tours are deeply rooted in culture and connection.
Led by Indigenous guides, each tour includes storytelling, bush tucker insights, and visits to ancient middens – shell and bone mounds that offer a glimpse into thousands of years of continuous culture. The sands shift up to four metres each year, revealing and concealing these sacred sites.
With all proceeds from Sand Dune Adventures supporting the local Worimi community, this experience is as meaningful as it is memorable, giving you the chance to connect to Country while having the ride of your life.
