The Arkaba Walk
Operated by Wild Bush Luxury, the Arkaba Walk is a fully hosted, all-inclusive experience set in the heart of South Australia’s Flinders Ranges.
Based at the historic Arkaba Homestead, it offers a rare opportunity to explore a 63,000-acre private wildlife conservancy, rich in both natural beauty and conservation purposes.
Over four days, you’ll traverse ancient landscapes shaped by 600 million years of geological history. Led by expert field guides, the walk takes you through rugged ranges, dry creek beds lined with River Red Gums, and open plains teeming with kangaroos, emus, and birdlife. Along the way, you’ll gain insights into the region’s ecology, Indigenous heritage, and the inspiring rewilding efforts bringing this land back to life.
At night, you’ll unwind in signature bush camps under a canopy of stars, with hot showers, gourmet campfire meals, and a glass of South Australian wine in hand. The final night is spent at the luxurious Arkaba Homestead, a member of Luxury Lodges of Australia.
Rugged, remote, and utterly unforgettable — this is outback Australia at its most immersive.
