wukalina Walk
Take off on an immersive four-day cultural journey with wukalina Walk, operated by the Aboriginal Land Council of Tasmania.
Traversing Mt William National Park (wukalina) and Bay of Fires (Larapuna) in North-East Tasmania, this experience offers a rare chance to connect with the Palawa people, the island’s First Nations community. As the only Aboriginal-owned and led multi-day guided walk in Tasmania, it invites you to explore this ancient land in a way few others can.
The walk takes you across stunning coastal landscapes and bushland, where Aboriginal guides share stories, language, and cultural knowledge passed down through generations. Along the way, you’ll discover traditional bush foods and medicines, hear Creation stories, and take part in hands-on cultural activities like kelp basket making, clapstick carving, and shell necklace creation.
Each evening, you’ll unwind in eco-friendly, architecturally designed lodges and enjoy gourmet meals that highlight native ingredients such as muttonbird, wallaby, and fresh seafood, all paired with fine Tasmanian wine.
This experience is as much about cultural connection and reflection as it is about the walk itself, inviting you to view Tasmania through the eyes of its Traditional Custodians.
